THE LONG AWAITED FOLDABLE SMARTPHONE IS HERE

FOLDABLE SMARTPHONE

There have been a lot and lots of concepts, mock-ups, and several prototypes of flexible smartphones, but all have seemed to be a rumor because we have seen none. But it's believable because the  Moxi Group's flexible smartphone/watch will come out soon this year.

The twisting smartphone by the Chinese startup hit the Internet Monday on Bloomberg Technology, but it is not like bending an iPhone, it is more like a flexible Kindle. Moxi Group's Executive Vice President Chongsheng Yu told Bloomberg Technology the company will first sell its smartphone with a black and white display using e-ink technology. According to CNN Money, the phones are expected to cost around $760, which is discouragingly expensive for a black and white display smartphone
The phones will be sold in China, first of all, If the demand is high, the product will be sold around the world says Yu. He also added that a flexible color display will be made available in 2018.

To make a functioning flexible smartphone a successful project, Moxi Group used graphene, which is a super-thin conductive material which is made up of a single layer of carbon atoms.

Yes, that works for the display, what of the battery and computer parts flexible. Similar to the ReFlex bendable smartphone prototype, those components are sent to one side of the device which is left rigid, and it looks like this.

The ReFlex uses OLED technology for its display, though, not graphene. The black and white phones will look like the Wove Band from Polyera:
The Wove Band uses graphene and e-ink technology similar to a Kindle, which are the makeup of  Moxi Group's smartphone. Based on the concept images, though, Moxi Group's smartphone will be a wider and strong and will come with lots of features.
If you think the foldable smartphone will be a wow let us know .
