Xiaomi certainly is not the first smartphone company to copy Apple. Since 2010 Xiaomi is has been doing a great job, producing China’s most favorite smartphone. A lot of people and the media have been laughing at Xiaomi as they once had a man in a black mock turtleneck and jeans unveil a new smartphone on stage at a press conference. Yet Xiaomi always smiles to the bank. The company’s estimate increased as high as $46 billion in late 2015, and since then the company has been experiencing tremendous growth more than any smartphone company
A Chinese smartphone manufacturer Xiaomi and Microsoft are collaboratively partnering together. This relationship will help Xiaomi to be able to reach US market in turn Microsoft will gain massivelty from the relationship because all Microsoft apps will be preinstalled apps in all forth coming Xiaomi phones.
The announcement on the relationship was made Wednesday in china, part of the deal was that Xiaomi is to acquire nearly 1,500 Microsoft patents related to including wireless communications, video, cloud computing, and multimedia. This will protect the 6 years old Xiaomi from being sued by rivals. The two company failed to disclose the financial terms of the deal.
Xiaomi has been afraid of US market because of engaging into legal battle with other small smartphone vendors. Just as they have been battling with their counterparts in china. But now the fear is gone. They are now free to go into the western markets. Yet some of their products like TV, headphones, and fitness bands are in the US market.
Xiaomi’s Mi Pad already has Windows 10 running on it while Microsoft Azure powers the Mi Cloud service.
Considered one of the top five smartphone makers in the world, the Chinese electronics company has thus far avoided releasing phones in the US, focusing instead on things like headphones and fitness bands. Americans are now ready to feel the taste of Xiaomi handsets in February.
